Do you have old latex paint lying around in your garage? Now’s your chance to recycle it! Feel better knowing that it will get a second life. There will be a small processing fee.
Where: Sammamish High School, 100 140th Avenue SE. Use the entrance off of 140th Avenue SE. Collection will be in the southwest portion of visitor’s Lot
When: Saturday, July 14, 2018, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
What’s Accepted
- Latex paint
- Water-based stains
Paint and stain should be in original packaging, with labels and secure lids. Please do not combine or mix paint colors or different products. The recycler needs the materials separated so that they can recycle the paint into the colors that they sell.
NO Oil-Based Paint or Stains
Oil-based paint and stains are hazardous materials, and are not accepted at this event. They can be taken to the Factoria Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off Site (13800 SE 32nd Street) for proper disposal and at no cost.
Processing Fees Per Container (cash only)
- $1.25 per quart can
- $2.25 per gallon can
- $12.25 per 5-gallon can
Fees are charged per container, regardless of how much paint it contains.
What Happens to the Recycled Paint?
The unwanted latex paint is sent to GreenSheen Eco-Friendly Paint for recycling back into fresh latex paint.
