Neighborhood leaders and other active residents can get an overview of the city's budget process and have a say on the budget priorities during an interactive exercise on Thursday, February 27.
The budget presentation and exercise is part of the city's biannual Neighborhood Leadership Gathering, 6:30-8 p.m. at City Hall, room 1E-108. The purpose of the gathering is to encourage dialogue among neighborhood leaders and to provide updates on key issues from city officials. The conversations also help Neighborhood Outreach staff focus on meeting current neighborhood needs in the coming months.
During budget presentation, Finance Director Jan Hawn and Assistant Director Toni Rezab will present a brief budget overview, then ask participants to delve into an interactive exercise that will provide important feedback about residents' budget priorities.
Attendees will also engage in a facilitated group discussion with Neighborhood Outreach Manager Mike McCormick Huentelman on neighborhood issues.
Neighborhood association board members, emerging leaders and those interested in becoming more involved in their neighborhood are invited to attend. Light refreshments will be served. Please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org or 425-452-6836.
