A fire Sunday night damaged a home in the Bellevue's Wilburton neighborhood. No one was home at the time of the fire, but neighbors reported the blaze at about 11:45 p.m., after hearing popping sounds and seeing flames.
The garage sustained up to $100,000 worth of damage, but the rest of the house on the 12800 block of Southeast Second Street was almost completely spared.
A total of two fire engines and two ladder trucks responded to the fire. The homeowner arrived shortly after the fire was extinguished.
A Bellevue fire investigator arrived on scene and began the investigation early Monday morning. There was no preliminary determination of the fire's cause.
