The City of Bellevue will help residents prepare for major wind, rain and snow storms with an open house Wednesday, 4:30 to 7 p.m., at the Lewis Creek Park Visitor Center, 5808 Lakemont Blvd.
At the second of two weather preparation events offered by the city this fall, information will be available about severe weather response routes and other ways to deal with inclement weather. The open house will target ice and snow concerns of residents in south Bellevue, where steep roads and higher elevations present particular challenges. Staff will be on hand to answer questions.
When ice, snow or rain necessitates plowing, sanding or other action by the city, information will be posted in the Extreme Weather Response section. The section also covers the city’s snow response priorities map, emergency preparedness, emergency phone numbers, post-storm garbage and debris collection and more.
