Freeway traffic information:

UPDATED - The state Department of Transportation (WSDOT) has several projects under way that can affect traffic in Bellevue at any given time. For the most up-to-date information on construction activity on Interstate 405, visit WSDOT's I-405 Construction Update webpage; for information about work on I-90, another webpage is provided; and for current information on work along SR 520, a separate webpage is provided. WSDOT work currently under way in Bellevue (with a link to project webpages) includes:

Bellevue city traffic information:

NEW - Road Closures - Symetra Bellevue Family July 4 Fireworks Celebration: Both 100th Avenue NE between NE 1st Street and NE 5th Street, and NE 4th Street between 100th Avenue NE and Bellevue Way will be closed Sat., July 4, from 9:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. during the fireworks display and for cleanup immediately following.

King County Wastewater Treatment Sewer Pipe and Pump Station Upgrades - King County is working in several locations in Bellevue upgrading pump stations and replacing old sewer pipes. If you have questions or comments, please call the King County 24-hour project hotline: 206-296-4081. The most current traffic information on the projects are listed below:

Road Closure: SE 6th Street, 102nd Avenue SE to approx. 250' to the west: This section of SE 6th Street will be closed 24/7 starting 7 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, for equipment and material staging for the Bellevue Pump Station Upgrade by King County. The closure is expected to last approximately 265 days.

UPDATED - 2009 Overlay Program: Drivers should expect short, periodic lane closures and delays in the following locations on Monday, July 6 for roadway grinding:

SE 2nd Place & 168th Avenue SE

140th Lane SE & SE 18th Place

SE 8th Street east of 148th Avenue SE

UPDATED - Road Closure: 112th Avenue NE, NE 6th Street to NE 8th Street: Crews will grind and overlay the road and close all lanes between 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. on both Mon. and Tues., July 6 & 7.

112th Avenue NE, NE 8th Street to NE 10th Street: Driver should expect northbound right lane closures and delays on 112th Avenue NE during the day through the week due to construction and truck traffic.

148th Avenue SE, Main Street to SE 8th Street: Drivers should expect the southbound curb lane to be closed weekdays next week for a street light project.

NEW - 148th Avenue SE, SE 16th Street to SE 22nd Street: Drivers should be aware that starting Weds., July 8, the right curb lanes in both directions will be closed weekdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. until the end of the month while crews install new street lights.

NE 5th Street, 99th Avenue NE to 100th Avenue NE: Drivers should expect lane closures during the day for the next two weeks due to construction.

NE 8th Street, 96th Avenue NE to Lake Washington Boulevard: Motorists should expect delays due to the closure of the westbound lane during the week starting June 15 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for franchise utility work and tree cutting.

NE 8th Street, 106th Avenue NE to 108th Avenue NE: Motorist should expect periodic closures of the westbound right lane as crews work on final items of the project.

SE 26th Street, 171st Avenue SE to W. Lk. Sammamish Parkway: Drivers should be aware there will be a day long lane closure the week of July 6 as crews work on the final items of the project.

Northup Way, 120th Avenue NE to 124th Avenue NE: Motorists should expect lane closures and delays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays due to construction.

Commercial development and private utility work: Drivers and pedestrians should anticipate periodic lane and/or sidewalk closures and delays at these locations:

oNEW - 116th Avenue NE, north of NE 12th Street (Children's Hospital): Building and hauling. Expect periodic lane closures weekdays.

o Bellevue Way and NE 10th Street (Avalon Towers): Building construction. Expect lane closures daily on eastbound NE 10th Street approaching Bellevue Way and occasional lane closures on Bellevue Way southbound.

o 108th Avenue NE and NE 4th Street (Summit Building C): Building construction, expect lane closures eastbound NE 4th Street.

o 112th Avenue NE and NE 4th Street, 111th Avenue NE and NE 4th Street (112 Metro): Building construction, periodic lane closures on 112th.

o NE 10th Street and 106th Avenue NE (Belcarra): Expect periodic lane closures.

o 211 112th Avenue NE (Meydenbauer Inn): Building construction, periodic lane closures on 112th.

o Bellevue Way NE and NE 10th Street (Bellevue Hyatt expansion): Building construction.

o Main Street, 100th Avenue NE to 101st Avenue NE: Building construction.

o Full Block - NE 8th Street to NE 6th Street, 110th to 112th Avenue NE (Bravern): 4 towers under construction. Periodic lane closures on these streets.

o 108th Avenue NE and NE 10th Street, northwest corner (Vue site): Building construction. Expect lane closures on NE 10th Street and 108th Avenue NE.

o 112th Avenue NE, NE 8th to NE 10th Street (Ashwood Commons): Construction activity. Expect lane closures on 112th Avenue NE.
