State Department of Transportation crews will close the eastbound SR 520 off-ramp to 124th Avenue Northeast in Bellevue from 1 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, until 4 a.m. Monday, Nov. 22. Affected travelers should allow extra time to reach their destination.
Drivers should use alternate routes to avoid delays or take the designated detour via 148th Avenue Northeast.
Crews plan to drill and pour concrete for a new bridge over 124th Avenue Northeast. The work is part of the Bellevue Braids project, designed to increase safety and relieve congestion near the junction of Interstate 405 and SR 520, one of the busiest interchanges in the state.
The project will reshape I-405 from downtown Bellevue to SR 520. It will include a new ramp that links Northeast 10th Street directly to eastbound SR 520, and a bypass lane from SR 520 to 124th Avenue Northeast.
