Road conditions in Bellevue continue to improve throughout the city. Access to the city's retail areas should not be a problem during the busy holiday shopping weekend.
Drivers should check neighborhood road conditions carefully, especially in the elevated neighborhoods south of Interstate 90, and continue to be extra cautious when traveling.
City crews have worked to plow and de-ice roadways. With primary arterials in good shape, workers zeroed in on clearing snow and ice from neighborhood streets at higher elevations.
- Bus service: King County Metro Transit buses will be off snow routing on Friday but the system is on a reduced schedule for the day after Thanksgiving. Bus riders should check Metro for the latest information.
- Severe weather shelter: Open 8:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights at Crossroads Community Center, 16000 NE 10th St.
- Waste Collection: Allied Waste makes no collections when neighborhood streets are difficult to navigate. Residents may set out the material for pick-up again next week. Customers with questions can call Allied Waste's customer service at 425-452-4762.
The city's Extreme Weather Response page offers more information on ice and snow conditions in Bellevue.
