Programs and Services
The Resource Management Division manages and maintains the City’s developed parks and park facilities through several comprehensive programs: • Sports field management • Full service contract grounds management/contract administration • Facilities management • Landscape and turf management • Bellevue Botanical Garden management • Volunteer management • Special event and community event support • Forest management • Risk management • Playground and park structure maintenance and management • Development review The Resource Management Division manages over 650 acres of developed park land in 75 developed parks. It provides landscape management for beach parks, school and park sports fields, community and neighborhood parks, botanical gardens, golf courses, flower displays, and City building and utility site landscapes. Structural management responsibilities encompass nearly 100 park structures, including community centers, restrooms, and other park buildings totaling over 230,000 square feet. Staff also maintain park amenities and water features, signage, outdoor lighting, fencing and playgrounds throughout Bellevue’s park system. A combination of in-house staff, contracted services, volunteers and partnerships provide these services.
