The city’s Transportation Commission will review proposed improvements to Bellevue’s network of bicycle and pedestrian paths, lanes and trails Thursday, Sept. 27, 5:30 p.m., in Room 1E-108 at City Hall.
After months of public input via focus groups and online surveys, city staff will present their findings. The public is encouraged to attend.
The list of proposed improvements is part of “Walk & Roll 2007,” an update of the city’s 1999 Pedestrian and Bicycle Transportation Plan. The new document identifies walkway and bikeway needs, examines improvements and considers funding sources.
Following the Sept. 27 meeting, Bellevue Transportation staff will post an online map showing the recommended improvements and providing another opportunity for people to comment.
The “Walk & Roll 2007” web page offers details about the project as well as the opportunity for people to sign up to receive e-mail alerts about updates.
