The Bellevue City Council announced Monday that it will accept applications from city residents who wish to help write the statements for and against a proposed parks levy. These statements would be published in the voter’s pamphlet residents will receive prior to the November ballot, on which the levy would appear.
The City Council is expected to formally vote to place the levy on the ballot on July 21.
Interested residents may submit an online application. Residents can also pick up community service applications from the City Clerk’s Office at City Hall, 450 110th Ave. NE, or call 425-452-6466 to request that an application be mailed or faxed to them.
Applicants must be registered voters in Bellevue. Applications must be received by noon, Friday, July 18.
See "Council moves forward with parks levy" for details about the levy. Details about the voter's pamphlet statements are found in the July 7 Council agenda item.
