City Projects in Neighborhoods

Recent Projects

In recent years, the city has tackled neighborhood concerns about neighborhood character, property maintenance and infrastructure frequently expressed by residents who contact the city for help. The city has pursued the following initiatives:

Neighborhood Character - addresses complaints about the impacts of infill and redevelopment that may compromise or threaten the character of single-family neighborhoods.
Neighborhood Identity - enhances the unique identity of Bellevue’s established neighborhoods.
Neighborhood Investment - addresses concerns about the perceived inadequacy of neighborhood infrastructure, particularly pedestrian facilities. The Action Agenda approach seeks to improve the city’s ability to address unmet needs for infrastructure improvements desired by neighborhoods. Work in this are has resulted in a list of community-supported projects that can be considered for future funding opportunities.
