Northeast Eighth Street will be closed downtown, between Bellevue Way and 106th Avenue Northeast, over several nights, to make way for placement of a construction crane and safety measures in the area. The street will be closed for the whole weekend of April 28-29.  Drivers will need to use either Bellevue Way or NE 4th Street as the primary route into downtown Bellevue, to avoid this NE 8th Street closure.

Unless otherwise noted, lanes will be closed from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m., the following morning.  The schedule is as follows: 

• Wednesday, April 18 (full closure)
• Thursday, April 19 (full closure)
• Friday, April 20 (full closure)
• Saturday, April 21 (westbound closure 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday)
• Monday, April 23 (full closure)
• Thursday, April 26 (eastbound closure, two lanes westbound)
• Friday, April 27 (eastbound closure, two lanes westbound)
• Saturday, April 28 (westbound closure 10 p.m.; full closure 11 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday)
• Monday, April 30 (10 p.m. westbound closure; full closure at 11:30 p.m. to 6 a.m., Tuesday)
