City Projects in Neighborhoods
Project Evaluation
Projects that include volunteer labor from the neighborhood will be given highest priority
Priority will be given to projects that provide aesthetic improvements that enhance and/or improve the entire community
Projects benefiting a larger number of people will have higher priority than those affecting a smaller number
Replacement of deteriorating community mailbox structures/stands will have priority over replacement of mailboxes into existing stands. (Mailbox replacement is available for community clusters only.) Project award amount will not exceed $100 per household.
Projects will be further prioritized based on:
o
the percentage of area residents participating in the project
o
the degree to which the project is designed and ready to go, and
o
the level of demonstrated support for the project
Neighborhoods receiving grants in the previous year will have lower priority
Neighborhoods submitting multiple projects may only receive the yearly maximum of $5,000 for both projects.
The city has a list of criteria proposed projects must meet. See
Project Requirements
.
Projects approved for funding then move on to
implementation
.
The city provides
reimbursement
up to the grant amount after the neighborhood pays costs upfront.
For details, consult the
application process
