Preferred Route
The Bellevue City Council updated its preferred alternative route for East Link on March 15, 2010. A preferred route map shows the revised alignment.
An earlier preferred route by the Council was approved at its Feb. 23, 2009, meeting. The council’s alignment preference letter to Sound Transit at that time contained the earlier preferred route map and a detailed analysis of the draft environmental impact statement for East Link.
The council offers A Business Case for Tunneling and an illustrated presentation to support its preferred alignment.
In May 2009, the Sound Transit Board of Directors identfied its preferred route for East Link. A final decsion will be made in 2011, based on further evaluation that's part of a final environmental impact statement.
