One more ice and snow open house is planned, the fourth in a series, to help residents prepare for winter driving. Bellevue staff will be on hand to answer questions about ice and snow response on Wednesday, 5 to 7 p.m., at the Cherry Crest Elementary library, 12400 NE 32nd St. The open house will also offer written materials, a video on winter road conditions in Bellevue and free ice scrapers.
This year, Bellevue is again taking part in a state and national campaign called "Ice and Snow, Take it Slow" to raise awareness about driving safely under poor road conditions.
In the severe weather event, you can tips about winter driving along with other information when you click on the orange and blue Extreme Weather Response button on the right side of the home page.
In addition to a snow/ice page with driving tips and a snow response priorities map, the Extreme Weather Response pages contain extensive information on topics such as power outages, storm debris and garbage collection, as well as important phone numbers.
