The City of Bellevue is developing a section of King County’s Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan focused on Bellevue, with the goal of reducing the impacts of natural, technological or man-made disasters on the city. By identifying potential hazards in the community and assessing potential impacts, the city can develop strategies to help mitigate the impacts before, during and after a disaster.
The Emergency Preparedness division of the Fire Department is nearing completion of the Bellevue Hazard Mitigation Plan Annex. The public is invited to view the annex and offer comments. You may e-mail your comments to Lisa Scott. Please provide feedback by 5 p.m., Monday, Sept. 17.
