Bellevue Utilities offers free community classes in-person and virtually to help you make sustainable choices at home. The popular “Greener Living” workshops are updated regularly based on need and interest. 

Registration is required for all classes and is first come, first served. To register, fill out the form below. To ensure you receive class details, please register by 5 p.m. the day of the class for virtual classes and by 5 p.m. the day before the class for in-person classes. Spring into Sustainability 

City of Bellevue is offering hands-on workshops to “Spring into Sustainability” in partnership with King County Library System Bellevue branches. Learn how to make natural cleaners, repair household items and get rid of almost anything with a local sustainability expert.

How to Get Rid of (Almost) Anything

Friday, March 20, 12-1 p.m., virtual
Sunday, May 3, 1-2 p.m., Bellevue Library

This workshop will cover your spring cleaning and decluttering needs to become experts on what is recyclable, compostable, trash, or hazardous waste. Learn where Bellevue residents can take unusual items such as batteries, textiles, and electronics through online tools to help solve your sorting needs.

How to Reorganize and Declutter

Wednesday, March 25, 6-7 p.m., virtual

Join us for a fun session where we will share top tips and strategies for reorganizing and decluttering at home. Leave with a plan for tackling your home goals with resources and a kit from the City of Bellevue. 

Repair & Renew Everyday Items

Wednesday, April 15, 6-7 p.m., Lake Hills Library

Learn easy home repair techniques and strategies through demos. Take home resources for where to take items you cannot repair yourself, lending locations, and a kit to aid in simple repairs. 

3D Printing Replacement Parts

Tuesday, April 21, 6-7 p.m., Bellevue Library Makerspace

Get to know your local Makerspace at the Bellevue Library and learn about resources to repair, upcycle, and restore your belongings this Spring. Attendees will receive repair resources and a kit to do easy at home repairs. 

Swap Single-Use Plastics

Thursday April 30, 6-7 p.m., virtual

Spring towards swaps for single use plastics in this class where you will learn which plastics can be recycled and how you can be a part of solving a global issue. We will cover state legislation related to plastics and show products that have non plastic alternatives inspiring you to make the change!

Make Homemade and Healthy Cleaners

Tuesday, May 12, 6-7 p.m., Newport Way Library

Save money while cleaning safer! Together we will make safer cleaners using common household items. All attendees will receive a safer cleaning kit and recipe set from City of Bellevue to take home!
