In conjunction with Fire Prevention Week (Oct. 7 – 13), the Bellevue Fire Department will open the doors to all nine stations on Saturday, Oct. 13. The annual open houses give the public an opportunity to meet the firefighters who serve them, see station apparatus and trucks and pick up valuable safety information.
The open houses will be 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with banners at each station advertising the event. Refreshments will be served.
The theme for this year's Fire Prevention Week is "Practice your escape plan." Brochures will be available to help families develop and practice escape plans in case of a fire.
Flu and pneumonia vaccinations are available again this year at stations 1,3,4,5 and 9. There will be a fee charged for those who receive this service.
If you miss the open house, the Fire Department makes all stations available for tours upon request. You can find your nearest station by clicking here, or calling Lt. Eric Keenan, community liaison officer, at 425-452-6995.
Residents can find the nearest station at the fire stations web page.
