Daily Recaps and CrimeWeb.net AlertsDaily Recaps As a service to the public, the Bellevue Police Department summarizes police reports recorded over 24-hour periods in daily recaps. This information is released in accordance with the Public Records Act of Washington (RCW 42.56).
Only major crimes, including murder, assault, rape, robbery or arson, are listed on the Recaps. For legal and privacy reasons, some reports will not be included in a Recap.
The Recaps are distributed by e-mail. If you want to receive the daily recaps, complete the E-Mail Alerts subscription. You will also have the option of signing up to receive alerts about other information on the Bellevue website.
Note: If you do not begin receiving recaps within a week, reenter your email address. Bounced e-mails will cause the system to attempt delivery three times, then remove the address from the list. The most common cause is typographical errors in the e-mail address submitted.
CrimeWeb.net Alerts The Bellevue Police Department has teamed up with CrimeWeb.net to provide timely alerts about a range of public safety and crime topics: missing children and adults; school incidents; community information; major crimes; and homeland security.
When an incident occurs, subscribers for that topic will receive an e-mail or text message. This information will come directly from the Bellevue Police Department, via the CrimeWeb.net network, to keep it as accurate and timely as possible.
CrimeWeb.net also has a feedback function to allow citizens to provide confidential tips to the Police Department about an incident.
