Bellevue Youth Link, a youth leadership program sponsored by the City of Bellevue and Bellevue Public Schools, is seeking nominations for its annual community leadership awards, which honor young people who provide outstanding community service.
The deadline for nominations is 5 p.m., Monday, May 11.
The 19th annual Community Leadership Awards ceremony will honor 16 young people, elementary through high school, in the following categories:
1. Most Inspirational Youth – Boy 2. Most Inspirational Youth – Girl 3. Athlete – Boy 4. Athlete – Girl 5. Scholar – Boy 6. Scholar – Girl 7. Warming Hearts – Boy 8. Warming Hearts – Girl 9. Diversity Champion 10. Environmental Champion 11. Youth Volunteer – Boy 12. Youth Volunteer – Girl 13. Elementary School Student 14. Middle School Student 15. High School Student 16. Norm Maleng Award (Bellevue Youth Court Participation Required)
Nomination forms can be picked up in Bellevue school offices, City Hall, all community centers, Crossroads Mini City Hall and Bellevue public libraries.
Youth Link will present the awards Wednesday, May 20, at City Hall at 7 p.m. (with a reception at 6:30 p.m. featuring light refreshments prior to the event.) The event is free and open to the public. Please RSVP to Bellevue Youth Link at 425-452-2846.
