The Bellevue Police Department will give away child identification kits and bike helmets for Child Safety Day at the Factoria Mall on Saturday.
The event will be 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Center Court at the Market Place @ Factoria, 4055 Factoria Mall SE. The event will have information, demonstrations and activities geared toward supporting safe, fun and healthy kids and families, with more than 12 family-centered organizations participating.
The first 50 children will receive free bike helmets personally fitted by Bellevue police officers. Additional helmets will be sold for $9.
The police will also feature Operation Child Safe, a nationwide program to provide families with a free Child I.D. Kit. Live music and giveaways will also be featured during the event.
Sponsors include the Market Place @ Factoria and Savvy Parents Safe Kids.
