King County and cities in the county have been working together to update policies related to growth, transportation, the environment and public services. This is the first time these policies, known as the Countywide Planning Policies, have been comprehensively updated since they were first adopted in the early 1990s.

Comments on the draft update are welcome. The King County Growth Management Planning Council is seeking public comment at its meeting, Wednesday, at Renton City Hall, 1055 S. Grady Way, 4 to 6 p.m..

The draft planning policies update is available for review, along with other materials for the meeting at the GMPC.
