NE 8th St to NE 12th St
From Northeast 8th Street to Northeast 12th Street, the project will provide non-motorized facilities that connect the Wilburton neighborhood to the Bel-Red area, to the future Light Rail Transit station location at 120th Avenue Northeast, and to the SR-520 regional trail system.
The section from Northeast 8th Street to Northeast 12th Street is on hold at 5% design and awaiting further funding.
NE 12th St to NE Spring Blvd
From Northeast 12th Street to Northeast Spring Boulevard, the roadway will have five lanes, including two travel lanes in each direction with turn pockets or a center turn lane, curb, gutter and a designated bike path separated from the roadway by a new planter strip. The project will also include illumination, landscaping, irrigation, storm drainage and water quality treatment, and intersection and signal system improvements.
Part of this project, the Wilburton Streetscapes Enhancements project, will evaluate how to protect residential communities south of Northeast 8th Street from potential traffic impacts and future growth in the Bel-Red area.
124th Avenue Northeast, from Northeast 12th Street (Bel-Red Road) to Northeast Spring Boulevard, is in on hold at 30% design and awaiting further funding.
