Daughter stabs mother several times, Mother in stable condition

Late Sunday night, at approximately 9:15 p.m., a 23-year-old woman stabbed her 45-year-old mother then fled their apartment.

The stabbing occurred in their apartment at Highland Village Complex located in the 14500 block of Norhteast Eighth Street. The motive is being investigated. The victim was rushed to Harborview Medical Center and is in stable condition with several non-life threatening wounds.

A police perimeter was quickly set up and a K9 team worked the area to locate the suspect. Within an hour, two Bellevue Police Patrol officers found the woman a few blocks away where she was taken into custody without incident.

The suspect was booked into King County Jail for first-degree assault.
